In winter the Haliburton Highlands become a playground for snow based activities. Cross country skiing, skating, snowmobiling and ice fishing are available directly at the Resort while dogsledding, downhill skiing and snowshoeing and luge are nearby.
Cross Country Skiing Ogopogo has walking access to the Twin Lakes Ski Trails, part of the Haliburton Nordic Trail network. This is a 6 km system of easy to moderate groomed classic skiing. We are also within 20 minutes of many of the other Haliburton Nordic Trails including the Leslie Frost Centre and Glebe Park. Ogopogo has ski equipment in limited quantity for our guests.

| Ice Skating Skate on beautiful Mountain Lake. We maintain a large rink on the Lake – great for a family outing or a pickup game of hockey. Try a romantic skate under the stars – we light the rink at night.

Ice Fishing Mountain Lake offers both Lake Trout and Whitefish ice fishing with some of the best locations immediately off the Resort. Enjoy the day in the comfort of your own three-man ice hut or get out in the sunshine and cut your own hole.

Dogsledding Ogopogo Resort teams up with Haliburton Forest and Winterdance to offer packages for two hour moonlight or half-day dogsledding excursions. Professional mushers and purebred Siberian Huskies make your adventure one you will soon not forget. You can learn and drive your own team or relax and enjoy the padded sleigh.

| Luge A recreational luge run is located in the Haliburton Forest and operated by the Rebel's Ridge luge club. Training is provided with the cost of access to the hill. It is a 'natural track' luge or Naturbahn which is made of snow as opposed to the Kunzbahn of Olympic calibre which is made of ice |
